Journalist Day held at Palakkad under the leadership of Kerala Journalist Union State Committee

കേരള ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് യൂണിയൻ സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പാലക്കാട് വച്ച് നടന്ന ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് ഡേ ഇന്ത്യൻ ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് യൂണിയൻ ദേശീയ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ജി. പ്രഭാകരൻ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. രാജ്യത്ത് മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തനം വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും പത്രസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം നിഷേധിക്കുന്ന നിലപാടുകളാണ് സർക്കാറുകൾ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നതെന്നും ജനാധിപത്യത്തെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിന് പത്ര സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഉദ്ഘാടനം പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. ചടങ്ങിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് യൂണിയൻ ദേശീയ സമിതി അംഗം ബെന്നി വർഗീസ് അധ്യക്ഷനായി. കേരള ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് യൂണിയൻ സംസ്ഥാന സമിതി അംഗങ്ങളായ കവിത ഭാമ, സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ, ജോജി തോമസ്, മുജീബ് റഹ്മാൻ തുടങ്ങിയവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

Journalist Day held at Palakkad under the leadership of Kerala Journalist Union State Committee, National Vice President of Indian Journalist Union G. Prabhakaran is inaugurating. Media freedom in the country is facing challenges and governments are taking positions that deny freedom of the press to protect democracy.

He said in his inauguration speech that it should be protected. The function was presided over by Benny Varghese, member of the National Committee of the Union of Indian Journalists. Kavita Bhama, Subramanian, Joji Thomas, Mujeeb Rahman etc., members of Kerala Journalist Union State Committee spoke.
