Following call given by IJU The Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) organised today a Dharna at office of the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner, Government of India, Hyderabad. IJU and TUWJ Leaders led by K. Sreenivas Reddy, President, Y. Narender Reddy, Secretary, K. Virahath Ali, General Secretary, TUWJ shouted slogans demanding constitution of Press Commission, Press Council and restoration of working journalists act, wage machinery and travel concession for journalists in train journey.

They have also demanded restoration of journalists health scheme, allotment of house sites for all eligible journalists and issuing of notification for accreditations in Telangana. They have submitted a memorandum to the Mr. Srinivasulu, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner . M.A. Majid, Former Member, PCI, K. Satyanarayana, Member, NEC, Vishnudas Srikanth, Deputy General Secretary, TUWJ, A. Rajesh, M. Venkat Reddy, State Executive members TUWJ, Yusuf Babu, Blakrishna, President and General Secretary of Telangana Small Medium News Papers and Magazines Association, S.Shankar Goud, Secretary, Hyderabad Union of Journalists participated in the programme.
